Strategic Objectives

1. Raise the profile of pro bono in the British Columbia legal community, in a demonstrable and concrete fashion;

2. Raise the profile of pro bono in all communities throughout British Columbia, in a demonstrable and concrete fashion;

3. Provide pro bono assistance and representation to people of limited means without duplicating those services provided by government, other pro bono service providers and other organizations generally;

4. Assist in the establishment of effective partnerships between law firms and non-profit organizations of limited means;

5. Work cooperatively with potential and existing pro bono service providers and the Legal Services Society in a manner consistent with promoting a properly funded legal aid system;

6. Work closely with community and non-profit organizations of limited means to identify and meet their legal needs and the legal needs of the public whom they serve; and

7. Establish a diverse and stable funding base in order to maintain the present standard of operation past March 31, 2009.
